Using Music As A Joy Stimulant
Varying life features can be manifested as a joy stimulate, some in a literal drug sense, others more on the high on life end of the spectrum. Personally, music has been my sole life stimulant for a number of years—endlessly watching concerts on YouTube as a kid to now being a month away from 24 writing another blog post for my site dedicated to music, it’s a rampant theme.
Everyone goes to music for a wide range of uses. Some strictly use it as a plug for noise, driving around, and what-not. Others rigidly adhere to their niche with a constant listen of their favorite records. My life focuses on its daily tasks with music accompanying it. Even right now, as I’m typing this, Pyramid Song by Radiohead is blasting in my room through my dusty edifier speakers.
It’s cliche and a bit annoying to proclaim, but music has always acted as a driving force of happiness, euphoria, and closure. I don’t know how my life will end, but I imagine my final thought will feature an arbitrary record in the background. Even if I’m one of the lucky ones who make it until their late years, I wish nothing more than a great record playing in the hospital room as I close my eyes goodbye.
