The Dream Pop Enigma of Cocteau Twins | Trash Theory
I was detailing my love for shoegaze and dream-pop to a friend last night, prompting me to seek out a video regarding the matter this morning. I’ve been in love with the two crossing genres for a number of years now, dating back to when I first picked up a guitar. The intriguing blend of textures with playing is an element to instrumentation I wish more artists did.
Above is an excellent video from Trash Theory that details the dream-pop enigma of the Cocteau Twins. Cocteau Twins are a fantastic group, with their 1990 release Heaven or Las Vegas being one of my favorite records from the 1990s. Definitely check the group out if you hope to get into one of the most influential and impactful dream pop bands.
