Salsa Records from Venezuela with Gia Fu

Wow, yet another My Analog Journal video on OutOfShapeMusic. Who would’ve guessed! As said best in the salsa records video, Gia Fu is a DJ, selector, and producer based in Hong Kong. She primarily focuses on digging and spinning Salsa and mambo gems everywhere she goes, also diving deep into all Afro-Latin music, disco, and house grooves.
She recently produced a Big-band Salsa album for Angel Meléndez in 2021 featuring over 30 artists including the likes of Tito Allen, Pulpo, Herman Olivera, Rico Walker & Primi Cruz among others.
In this episode, Gia features Salsa records from Venezuela. From the famous Dimension Latina, Los Blanco, El Trabuco Venezolano to unearthing rare underground experimental sounds and tracks made by local bands that were not played as much on the mainstream radios and streaming platforms.
