There isn’t anything I miss more than live music. Fortunately enough, platforms like YouTube grant me some form of relief by allowing me the ability to watch live concerts from the past.

This post of Live Music Recommendations features a performance by emo-rock pioneers Sunny Day Real Estate. As I’ve spoken in previous articles, Sunny Day Real Estate is one of the most essential bands from the 1990s.

Although they’re not as known as your Nirvanas or Pearl Jams from the same decade, they’ve impacted Emo’s sub-genre more than any artist at the time.

The group had four records during their short career but were able to create more notable and unique tracks than most artists can do. This performance comes from 1999 when they recently got back together in 1997.

The band had three lifespans during their career from 1992 to 1995, 1997 to 2001, and 2009 to 2013. However, whatever particular live venture you watch from them, the band never disappoints. Give this concert a viewing, and be sure to dive into the band’s discography after.
