It’s challenging to find an artist who has had more of an influence than Elliott Smith. Though there are plenty of influential artists out there in the ether, Elliott Smith is as popular as he is for being a true innovator in the Indie folk spectrum.

As many of you know, I’m a huge fan of Elliott Smith. One of my favorite gems is the 1998 documentary, Strange Parallel. Unfortunately, the only versions I can find are uploaded in extremely poor quality. 

For all of the Elliott Smith fans out there who might enjoy seeing it restored, I’ve helped to enhance/upscale a portion of the documentary to 4K using the Proteus 6-Parameter model (e.g., fine-tune de-blocking, detail recovery, sharpening, noise reduction, de-haloing, and antialiasing). Enjoy!
