Back From Vacation, Plans for the Future
I apologize for my lack of in-depth posts lately, as the last week was pretty hectic, but in a vigorously happy way. My eldest brother Anthony finally got married to his fiance Kristie on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina after postponing their wedding in 2020 due to the pandemic. This time around, all people in attendance were able to get vaccinated, allowing us a somewhat sense of normalcy while my brother and his now-wife do the death do us part thing.
Without going over every detail, it was an incredibly charming wedding, and I couldn’t have been happier to be a part of it. Not to mention that it was the first time I left Buffalo since the pandemic erupted over a year ago. What a time to be alive. Notably, as great as it was to spend time on the beach in the warm weather, venturing to record stores and book shops I haven’t been to made me even more festive during the week.
I managed to go to three different record stores; two in Savannah, Georgia, and one in Richmond, Virginia, on the way back home (I drove with my girlfriend). Seeing as Hilton Head Island is a tourist destination, they don’t have any record stores or anything local in a sense. It’s more about the beach life there than some slender-man-looking fellow like myself looking to add onto their record collection. Thankfully I went to Savannah two out of the seven days I was there for some records.
Graveface Records and Rody’s Records in Savannah and Crossroads Records in Richmond were all fabulous, and I managed to add seven records to my collection. None of these records were any odd or unique finds. Still, considering I just got into the entire medium relatively recently, it was nice to get some records during my brother’s wedding week (check below if interested in what I got).
As for what to expect from this blog moving forward, presume the same style of articles, but with more original YouTube content. I unfortunately have been procrastinating with my YouTube channel, but I hope to put an end to that soon. Anticipate three new videos this week. Lastly, I’m thinking about throwing up some shirts for sale as well. I’m not sure what, so don’t ask! Nevertheless, I hope your week went well, and thank you for checking this blog out.
